Mode of action
Contact herbicide (Group 14). Its active ingredient carfentrazone-ethyl inhibits the protoporphyrinogen oxidase enzyme in the chlorophyll biosynthesis pathway, causing cell-membrane disruption; treated weeds turn necrotic and die shortly after application.
Key benefits
- Delivers fast burndown effect; treated vegetation becomes necrotic and dies shortly after treatment.
- Works as a contact-action herbicide and supports safe field application.
- Offers good compatibility for tank-mix applications.
Dose & application
30 to 125 cm³/ha depending on crop and use (75 cm³/ha in soybean/corn/peanut fallow)
- Timing
- Weed desiccation in chemical fallow up to sowing (pre-sowing of soybean, corn, peanut and sunflower); in wheat from 3 leaves to end of tillering. Maximum activity under high humidity and temperature.
- Method
- Ground spraying with medium/high-volume nozzles (80-100 l/ha of water) or aerial (40 l/ha); nozzle spacing 50 cm.
